Do you want to dive into the world of Wikipedia and its sister projects and contribute to the world’s largest knowledge project yourself? Discover the opportunities in your area, because the Wiki Movement in Switzerland is currently strengthening regional networking.
The range of regular writing workshops and introductory workshops has recently expanded and is set to grow even further. New regular meetings are now being held in Bern and Winterthur. Workshops are already established in Basel, Lausanne, Meyrin GE, and, since summer 2025, in Zurich. Such meetings are also being prepared on a trial basis in Chur.
The workshops are run by volunteers from the Wikipedia community who are keen to share their enthusiasm for the collective knowledge of humanity. The meetings are open to everyone. No prior knowledge is necessary; all you need is your own laptop and, ideally, a Wikipedia login. The central event calendar shows when and where the next meetings will take place.
Some workshops are supported by Wikimedia CH as needed and when appropriate, while others run independently.
