Wikimedia CH supports “Jugend Hackt” (Youth Hacking) in Switzerland, which will take place twice this summer: on 15 to 17 August in Zürich and on 5 to 7 September in Bern. In this programme of the Open Knowledge Foundation, hosted by Digitale Gesellschaft, teenagers between the age of 12 and 18 attempt to develop tech solutions for a better world – and learn and try out new new things together with like-minded people, and finding friends.

The programme is made possible by many volunteers, and people are welcome to join as pedagogical supervisors/awareness team work, mentors and hosts.

Of course we still take sign-ups from interested children, so we’re happy to have them signing up with us!

If you have any questions or would like to help out, feel free to get in touch with me at Wikimedia CH’s Innovation Manager Shana Marinitsch shana.marinitsch@wikimedia.ch – the events themselves will be held in German, though (unless children indicate that they will require English guidance).
