We are glad to present you the Progress Report 2025. It is a review of the first six months of our activities.

We entered 2025 with relative stability within the team compared to previous years, which allowed us to level up, work better as a team, and become more professional across all areas. We focussed on proactive strategic planning. For example, we have started exploring risk mitigation and crisis communication planning to respond to the rapidly changing technological and political landscape.

Operationally, we finished the “Value for Good” programme with the Mercator Foundation, which will help us better measure and ensure our impact, efficiency and return on investment. We updated our HR policies to create a stronger foundation for our growing team and launched the Care Forward initiative, which groups our social and environmental activities.

A highlight of the year so far was Wikipedia Day on 10 May in Bern, which served as the kick-off for our strategy development journey for the next five-year period (2026-2031). It was combined with a record-attendance General Assembly. Our strategic development process is built on Theory U, an innovative framework for organisational transformation that challenges us to change how we perceive, relate, and act as an organisation.

We are increasingly being approached for support and collaboration, including the International Council of Museums (ICOM) initiating cooperation with us for the first time to support International Museum Day.

While we celebrate these achievements, we continue to actively network and build relationships that have potential to bear fruit for future partnerships.

We would be happy if you would foster our association by joining us as a member.
