The individual resources do not present identical content, but complement one another with specific tools and teaching ideas. This diverse range of resources is aimed equally at teachers and students.

Aims and Objectives
Wikimedia CH Education and its partner organisations publish freely accessible Open Educational Resources (OER), which include not only digital learning materials but also interactive online tools for teaching.
Our lesson plans are geared towards Lehrplan 21 and are brought to life through specific online learning tools. These include basic knowledge about Wikipedia and the vision of the Wiki Movement, in addition to specific Wikipedia and OER Learning tools, which can be used as teaching aids in almost any subject area. Furthermore, the courses will provide a practical and critical examination of how this open data is used for training artificial intelligence.
At the moment, our Teaching & Learning Resources are mostly available in German, but translations in French, Italian and English will follow soon.

Lesson plans
Our Teaching & Learning Resources were developed specifically for the 3rd cycle of compulsory school (ages 12 to 15) based on Lifelong Learning in close collaboration with teachers, higher education pedagogues, EdTech companies and other institutions. They can be used flexibly in almost any subject area at the Secondary Level 1 – be it languages, the humanities or the natural sciences. Naturally, they are also suitable for the transversal module Media & Computing (Medien & Informatik).
Wiki OER: Barrier-free accessibility of educational material in the broad field of education
The 2019 UNESCO definition describes Open Educational Resources (OER) as teaching, learning and research materials that make use of appropriate tools – such as open licensing – to permit their free reuse, continuous improvement and repurposing by others for educational purposes. All our OER and learning tools are licensed under the Commons CC BY-SA license.
Wiki OER are designed to reduce accessibility barriers (public principle) by implementing best practices in teaching and to be adapted for unique local contexts. Find a selection of OERs from the Wikiverse that have been successfully used in the field of education in other countries. Use, re-mix, improve and redistribute them as you need for your teaching and learning activities!
