Since the return of the Taliban in August 2021, the world is watching the developments in Afghanistan with concern. In addition to the humanitarian situation, the country’s rich cultural heritage is once again in danger.
The International Council of Museums (ICOM), with which Wikimedia CH is working closely on the occasion of International Museum Day, has launched an appeal for the preservation of these art treasures on Wikipedia and the other Wiki platforms.
Wikimedia CH has set up a project page and has forwarded the appeal to the Wikipedia communities and other Wikimedia chapters.
